Guidelines for visiting National Park De Alde Feanen

Take a moment to pause and observe the flow. Obstacles in the water can create a stronger current, and a beaver lodge can cause an entire lake to form. The reflection on the water sometimes reveals more than you first thought you saw. We invite you to slow down. To experience the harmony between people and nature, and to observe the flow — both within yourself and in nature. Will you help keep this unique area the way it is?

  • Sail slowly (max. 6 km/h) to protect the reed-lined banks
  • Only moor at designated berths
  • Keep dogs on a leash
  • Avoid unnecessary noise and do not disturb birds
  • Do not leave any waste behind
  • Be careful with engine oil and fuel, as they are harmful to nature
  • Respect restricted areas
  • Camp only in designated locations
  • Prevent forest fires and do not make campfires
