Whether your preference is walking, cycling, sailing, or gliding over the water in a SUP board or canoe, each option has its own special qualities. There are plenty of trails you can follow to discover the best De Alde Feanen has to offer. This page lists the trails mentioned on the website.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-content-width wp-image-1734\" src=\"https:\/\/www.np-aldefeanen.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/wandelen-NP-De_Alde_Feanen-95.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"305\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.np-aldefeanen.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/wandelen-NP-De_Alde_Feanen-95.jpg 2000w, https:\/\/www.np-aldefeanen.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/wandelen-NP-De_Alde_Feanen-95-320x122.jpg 320w, https:\/\/www.np-aldefeanen.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/wandelen-NP-De_Alde_Feanen-95-960x366.jpg 960w, https:\/\/www.np-aldefeanen.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/wandelen-NP-De_Alde_Feanen-95-800x305.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Walks<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The Wikelsl\u00e2n Walk: 3 or 5 kilometres; map is available at the visitor centre or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.earnewald-routes.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.earnewald-routes.nl<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The Dichtenspaad Walk: 8, 17 or 25 kilometres, leads past 18 panels with poems around Oudega; map is available at\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/dichterspaad.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.dichterspaad.nl<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The Paad troch Grou Walk: takes you past 21 historic buildings in the village of Grou; map available at bookstore Bruna and the VVV in Grou.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.itfryskegea.nl\/in-de-natuur\/kinderen\/rugzakroutes\/\">Backpack walks<\/a>: different distances for children, maps available from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.np-aldefeanen.nl\/bezoekerscentrum\/\">visitor centre<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Disabled, wheelchair users and prams<\/h3>\n<p>Although many walks are not easily accessible for the disabled, wheelchair users or prams, fortunately there are some alternatives: From the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.np-aldefeanen.nl\/bezoekerscentrum\/\">visitor centre<\/a>, it is possible to get to Jan Durkspolder via the cycle path alongside the Lytse Mar, and the bird hide there is accessible. In addition, there is a paved path in It Pettebosk, the educational forest.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Bike rides<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/grou.nl\/nl\/zien-doen\/fietsroutes\">De 8 van Grou Bike Ride<\/a> (ferry route): 32 or 55 km; map available from VVV Grou, the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.earnewald.nl\/nl\/\"> tourist office in Earnew\u00e2ld<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.earnewald-routes.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.earnewald-routes.nl<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The Dichtenspaad Walk: 8, 17 or 25 kilometres, leads past 18 panels with poems around Oudega; map available at <a href=\"http:\/\/dichterspaad.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.dichterspaad.nl<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You may bring your own bike of course, but there are also electric and conventional bikes for rental. There are several charging points for e-bikes. On the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.np-aldefeanen.nl\/locaties\/\">map<\/a>, you can find the bike rental points under the filter \u2018doen\u2019 (activities). The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.np-aldefeanen.nl\/en\/hosts\/\">hosts<\/a> of the park will also be happy to help you out.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>SUP-board and canoe trails<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Jan Durkspolder Canoe Trail: 7 kilometres; map available at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.np-aldefeanen.nl\/en\/visitor-center\/\">De Alde Feanen National Park Visitor Centre<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Noordoostelijk De Alde Feanen Canoe Trail: 12 kilometres; map available from Hollema rentals and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.np-aldefeanen.nl\/en\/visitor-center\/\">visitor centre<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Water trails<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Sloeproute Noord (Northern Sloop Trail): about 3.5 hours sailing along Warten, Wergae and Grou; map available from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.earnewald-routes.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.earnewald-routes.nl<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Freek Vonk Audio Trail: 15 or 20 km with sloop or canoe; available via the <a href=\"https:\/\/izi.travel\/nl\/app\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Izitravel<\/a> app.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Boat Rental<\/h2>\n<p>If you\u2019re interested in renting a boat, view our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.np-aldefeanen.nl\/locaties\/\">map<\/a> and select the \u2018doen\u2019 (activities) filter<\/p>\n<h2>Tourist Switch Point<\/h2>\n<p>In De Alde Feanen, there are several Tourist Switch Points (Toeristisch Overstap Punten &#8211; TOPs) where you can park and which mark the starts of various trails. An information board shows recreational opportunities.
