After a day on the water, you can of course take on the task of cooking yourself, but do you honestly want to end such a wonderful, relaxing day in the kitchen? There are plenty of places to eat in Earnewâld, Grou, De Veenhoop, Warten, Wergea and Aldegea; whether you fancy a waterside terrace, or a snug place by the stove, the choice is all yours!

De Alde Feanen National Park is home to a wide variety of restaurants. Traditional Dutch, world cuisine, Frisian Tapas, game, or just a quick snack to keep your hunger at bay are all available. A number of restaurants are in waterside locations where you can sit on the terrace in good weather and enjoy the setting sun and passing boats.

Most restaurants can be found in the villages Grou and Earnewâld, but there are also a number of places to eat in Warten, De Veenhoop, Aldegea and Wergea.

Wherever you decide to go for a great meal, you’ll be able to taste the atmosphere and enthusiasm of the restauranteurs!
